If you will contact me through my contact page I will be able to email you the updated files.You can check this url if you want, to get an idea what problem i am facing with this script. http://www.aimpl.com/approval/kennys-rd/ You will see the image patch on the right hand side for a couple of seconds.
Check in Mozilla Firefox 3.0.10, Google Chrome and IE.
I would appreciate if you can solve this bug and give me the solution by today or else i will have to change the whole loading because i need to launch the website soon.
@vshah786
Sorry for my late response. It’s been a short week for me with the holidays here.I will look into the things you pointed out about the movieclip positioning as well as the differing browsers.
I am sorry that this file did not work out of the box for you, and hope that I can quickly make these fixes for you. If you would contact me through my contact page I will send you an updated version immediately once updated.
I used this for my file of width: 1000px and height: 580 px and placed your movieclip at the center of the page.
After uploading it on to my server, i noticed a patch (the one which gets loaded afterwards) for a couple of seconds on the bottom right hand corner and then it played properly.
Also the effect looks different in different browsers. It’ different in IE, Firefox Mozilla and Google chrome.
@patrickjansendesign
Yeah I thought about that, but I didn’t wanted to start simple. Maybe version 2 might have that as an option. Good idea!
It might be nice to have the masking area “grow” along with the percentage of being loaded … just an idea.
@signalr32 I’ve sent you an email with help on how to set it up. Thanks for purchasing!
okay I have read the instructions.. very simple to understand.. yet this wont work at all for me.. just a black blank screen???
something different… good job
Good idea.

@Reaper-Media It might not be obvious in this demo, but it does preload the preview file before the main file. So the files wouldn’t be loading at the same time.
Thanks for the comments!
the only problem is that if it is an image, it doesn’t show until the whole image has been loaded, but the flash content will work perfectly. nice concept, works well.
I like it. It gives you a “sneek peek” of the content!
Nice File!!!!!!!!!!

It is working fine now, strange maybe caused by a cookie or somethinge I think
Not sure what you are seeing, but I’ll look into it. I can’t seem to replicate any issues in Firefox. Thanks for the bug report though.
The comment popup dont work properly for me in the demo running newest version of firefox
Just sent you an email with the most recent version. Sorry for any problems this might have caused.
Please send me an email from my contact page so that I can send you the updated files. I guess it’s just not working yet at Themeforest. Because I’ve checked the most recent version, and it should be working.
after hitting run install I get a blank screen—
Hello, I just attempted an installation. It went to login screen.
So I looked at install.php and ran each table build query (not the populate queries).
Even if I turn the require login to false, I get Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /dirs/on/the/web/server/that/I/renamed/public_html/track/config.inc.php on line 72
Which is: mysql_select_db($database, $this->conn); //select which database to use
I double checked the 3 variables declared, and all are correct.
Yeah. Not sure what’s going on with the upload/updated files on Themeforest. I’m having some issues. So I emailed the files to you again, just in-case.
The one assigned here should work, but if anyone else has any problems, please feel free to email me and I can send you a file I know works correctly.
I sent you a message couple days ago about the same error as compropc. Looks like the updated build is not live yet. Can you email it to me too pls.
Thanks!
I sent you an email about this. Sorry for the issues. Apparently in my haste to make the install script working a few people have found some bugs for me.
So, I’m sending you an updated version and adding it to themeforest as well. So please check your email.
i uploaded set up the database an hit the install.php and nothing it goes right to the login screen i checked the database it is not populating the fiels all the usernames and passwords for the database are correct can you help
I would love to see payment by iDeal added!
FINALLY , AFTER SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY IN THEME FOREST . I FOUND THE NICE GUY AND HIS SUPPORT IS FAST . THANK YOU VERY MUCH , YOUR REALLY NICE GUY .
I ADVICE EVERYBODY - THIS GUYS AND HIS APPLICATION IS SO NICE!!
LETS SUPPORT AND I FULLY RECOMMEND TO BUY HIS APPLICATION !!
hmmmm. I guess so…I had thought we tested this, but I guess we missed the boat. Thanks for the heads up.
I hadn’t thought it would be a real issue though since you’d be installing this on your server, and you would have the only account to it.
Maybe you should look into javascript injections.
You can give access to the Client?
Thanks for the headsup. The last time I tested it it worked, so I’ll look into it again. I do want it to work in most browsers.
Impressive!
Nice work … nice layout but not working proper in IE6 .
Cool!
Looks pretty cool! Nice work!
Nicely done!

Not through the xml file, sorry. This is just a basic slideshow. It doesn’t include most of the advanced bells and whistles. The most advanced part of this slideshow is that each slide can be clickable.
I could make another version where that could be possible, but just haven’t had the time to make a more advanced version.

Nice find. I didn’t realize this was still happening. Simply change the reference to ‘_width’ to ‘xwidth’, and any reference to ‘_height’ to ‘xheight’. That should give you a quick fix.
You can simply wait for the updated version to be approved. I will update the description when that happens, or you can simply contact me and I can send you the updated version.

Hey, great file and thanks for creating it. I’m having a few errors when running it though and wondered if you could help me out? The errors are as follows:
Warning: 1058: Migration issue: The property _width is no longer supported. Use the DisplayObject.width property instead.. loader_mc._width = stageWidth;
loader_mc._height = newsItems.@loadbarheight;
square.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, stageWidth * pct, loader_mc._height);
Tweener.addTween(loader_mc, {y:(stageHeight-loader_mc._height), time:1, transition:”easeOutSine”});
Any ideas?
Thanks for your time,

Thanks for purchasing my file! Be sure and only use the file the amount of times your specific license allows. Most license allow for multiple use within the same project/website. So please read over to make sure. Thanks.
Some Answers
If neither of those options work, please contact me via email on my profile page, and I can try and give some more complete explanations.

Thanks.

I’m sorry your having problems. I will try my best to help you with setting your file up on your server.
Is the website you are requesting the images from on a different domain than where you are hosting the flash file? if so, you will need to add to your server what’s called a crossdomain.xml file.
Do you have any scripts on your server for disabling “image leeching” or “hot linking files”?
Have you tried setting your images to absolute urls?
If none of those fix your issue, do you have a url you could send me for me to look at your html? That will probably be the easiest.

@therealmacoy23 that could be a good addition to the next version of this slideshow. But this version is setup to simply just go one after the other.
If you would like help adding this to your current file I could possibly help you customize the file for you. Simply send me an email from my profile page.

“You can easily change the stage size to fit your needs”
Can the stage size be changed in the embed tag/xml ? Or do I have to edit the flash file in order to change the size?
jernigani: Yeah it will lag a bi... 19 Apr 2009
Yeah it will lag a bit if your image is to big, but I purposefully used a bit higher image size so you could see the preloader in action.
On a similar note, I am doing some resizing and alterations so that the image dimensions will always be fullsize to the stage. That’s the default setting in the xml file.
So you can totally disable that from happening in the xml file, and create the perfectly sized images.
LuizZak: Very nice and clean! ... 19 Apr 2009
Very nice and clean! But I see the transition lags a bit, probably because the image is used ‘as-is’ from the file, which if too big, may slow down things a bit!
But still, awesome!

An update is forth coming. So anyone who has previously purchased this file be sure and download again.
You can now add the ability for each image to be clickable and go to a link/url of your choice. So if you would like this ability, be sure and re-download. Thanks again for the feedback.
